History

In 1992 several ladies, one of them the Estacada Library’s librarian at the time, decided to establish a non-profit organization and book store to handle the Estacada library’s discards, withdrawals and unwanted donations.

The Book Nook

The Book Nook is the Foundation’s used book store, located in the heart of downtown Estacada at 155 S.W. Second St., Suite 102. The store is staffed entirely by volunteers and is generally open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays and for several hours each Saturday and Sunday. It’s best to check the hours posted in the front window or give the store a call if you’re not sure of the hours on the day you want to go shopping.

Visit our Book Nook site for more information.

Foundation Meetings

The Estacada Area Literary Foundation meets quarterly in February, May, August and November. They meet the first Monday of the month at 5 p.m. at The Book Nook. The public is always welcome!
